SLTDA and NDB sign MoU to introduce new Travel Card

COLOMBO: The Ministry of Tourism announced that the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) and the National Development Bank (NDB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch a ”Travel Card”, which allows those who have registered as various service providers to the tourism industry under the SLTDA to obtain this card making them eligible for special benefits when dealing with tourists.

According to the ministry, the card will allow for the provision of qualitative services like having access to the updated numbers of tourists visiting Sri Lanka, exchanging with a bank foreign currency brought in by visitors, enabling tourists to safely obtain goods and services within the country and allowing tourists to obtain a Travel Card for their use in Sri Lanka.
