COLOMBO :Only the office bearers of SLMC High Command met on Sunday as the meeting of the high command could not be summoned due to the prevailing Covid 19 situations.
This special meeting of the office bearers of the SLMC was held to discuss issues pertaining to the four MPs whom voted in favour of 20A, their subsequent conduct and the current political situation.
After listening to the explanations given by four MPs namely Mohammed Harees, Faizal Cassim , MSM Thowfeek and Nazeer Ahamed the other members too, expressed their views.
It was then decided that the four MPs must give their explanations in writing to the party leadership.
It was decided that the written explanations should reach the party Secretary and the Leader before 30.12 2020.
The decisions as to what further actions to be taken against the said MPs will be taken by the party, thereafter. Former members minister and SLMC Leader Rauf Hakeem chaired the meeting.
