COLOMBO– The Samagi Jana Balawegaya,SJB, headed by Sajth Premadasa achieved a major victory at the Kolonna Cooperative Office Election in the Ratnapura District, which was held on Friday Oct,21.
The Samagi Jana Balawegaya won 115 out of 119 candidates, which is a 5/6 majority, which comes 35 years after the party last held the power at the cooperative election in the Kolonna Constituency, which is known as a stronghold of Sri Lanka Freedom Party and the SLPP.
The SJB has won the vast majority of cooperative elections nationwide, which is more than 98 percent.
