Silent Protest on Easter Sunday Carnage : ‘Black Sunday’ observed outside Catholic churches in Negombo

NEGOMBO : Catholics in Negombo staged demonstrations when they came out from their churches following the Sunday Mass in the morning to observe the ‘Black Sunday’ to show their concerns on the effects of Easter Sunday carnage on April 21,in Sri Lanka.

Their main demand was to bring the real culprits of the human massacre to book and punish those who neglected their duties to prevent such an occurrence held in five places which killed 269 innocent people and injured more than 500 worshippers.

The protesters clad in black included men and women, young and old and Catholic priests.
