COLOMBO — The Interact Club of Colombo North had organized a “ She Aspires “ awards ceremony recognized the women contribution for the different fields of the Society. It was held at the Hotel Hilton, Colombo recently.
District Governor Aruni Malalasekara was present as chief guest and presented the awards to the recipients.
Literature – Tharanga Dissanayake, Science and Innovation – Yashoda Wijesinghelage, Education – Dr Nazeefa Fawzer, Social Work – Veeranthi Wijemanne, Art and Entertainment – Aseka Wijewardena, Business and Entrepreneur – Thiyasha Fonseka, Youth – Sathma Jayasinghe, Sports – Sendaru Perera, Contribution to Children – Abiramy Suthakaran and Environment – Anushly Sithamparam have received the awards from chief guest.
Guest of Honor Rotary Club of Colombo North President Amjath Yusuf, Colombo North Rotary Club Youth Services Chair Marshad Barry, District Interact Chair Champa Perera, Secretary of the Embassy of Oman Geetha Wijesooriya, District Interact Representative Murthaz Barry, Interact Club President Senandi Jayawardhana, Secretary Imasha Nethshila, Project Chairperson Kithmi Mallikarachchi and members of the club were also present.
