Fathima Shafna Mubarak of Ududeniya, Kandy was sworn in as an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka before Supreme Court Judge Yasantha Kodagoda.
She gained her education from primary to GCE Advanced Level at Ududeniya Muslim Vidyalaya, and entered University of Peradeniya with outstanding results. She secured 13th place in the Kandy District at the GCE Advanced Level Examination.
She obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree and subsequently completed her professional legal education at the Sri Lanka Law College.
Fathima Shafna Mubarak is the only daughter of Majeed Mubarak and Ummu Sufeela Mubarak, and the wife of Hanan Muhammad Sarfan.
Notably, she is one of the first two women from the village of Ududeniya to be sworn in as Attorneys-at-Law, marking a significant milestone in the village’s history.
