Serendib Foundation Chairman Holds Key Discussions with Nepalese and Turkish Representatives on Poverty, Education and Employment Opportunities for Kinniya Youth

COLOMBO : The Chairman of the Serendib Foundation, Teacher Amanullah Jamaldeen, held important discussions on Tuesday (6) with the Acting Ambassador of Nepal to Sri Lanka, Vijay Kumar Raut, and Commercial Counsellor of Türkiye Ismail Gülüklü* at their respective offices.

During the meetings, Teacher Amanullah Jamaldeen highlighted the social and economic challenges faced by people living below the poverty line in the Kinniya area, particularly the difficulties experienced by vulnerable families.

He also discussed matters relating to education, vocational training and employment opportunities for young people in Kinniya**, with emphasis on creating better opportunities for youth to develop their skills and build a sustainable future.

The discussions also focused on possible avenues for international cooperation and support to improve the livelihoods of disadvantaged communities and empower young people through education and employment.

Both representatives expressed their willingness to consider the issues raised and assured that they would extend possible cooperation and support towards initiatives aimed at improving the wellbeing of the people of Kinniya and creating better opportunities for its youth.
