COLOMBO — The Second Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Sebastian Sinhala Maha Vidyalaya Welfare Association was held at the Castle Auditorium, Colombo, on Sunday, October 25, under the patronage of the Association’s President, M.Y.M. Zawahir.
The meeting commenced with the singing of the National Anthem and the School Anthem, followed by a one-minute silence and a duha in memory of the deceased old boys and staff members of the school.
The Vice President of the Association, M.R.M. Farzan, delivered the welcome address. The General Secretary, M.F.M. Fahim, read the minutes of the previous Annual General Meeting, while the Treasurer, Naushard Cader, presented the audited statement of accounts.
During the meeting, senior old boys of the school were felicitated in recognition of their contributions. The President of the Association, M.Y.M. Zawahir, presented tokens of appreciation to the honourees.
