COLOMBO (News 1st): The second phase of the third school term for government and government-approved private schools will begin on Monday, Sept.7
The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education has instructed schools to conduct Dengue eradication activities today (06) and tomorrow (07).
Deputy Chairman of the Public Health Inspectors’ Association, Pradeep Boralessa, said inspections to monitor mosquito-control activities have already commenced.
The Sri Lanka Transport Board says additional buses, including Sisu Seriya services, will be deployed from tomorrow based on demand.
Meanwhile, the Department of Examinations says arrangements are underway to release the results of the recently concluded G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination before the end of this year.
Commissioner General of Examinations Indika Kumari Liyanage said the evaluation of answer scripts is currently underway in three phases.
The evaluation process is expected to be completed by October 25.
Practical examinations related to the Advanced Level Examination are scheduled to commence on September 24.
The G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination, which began on August 10, concluded yesterday, with a total of 372,310 candidates sitting for the examination this year.
