COLOMBO ; The first educational symposium under the theme of Islamic approach based on moderation, balance, tolerance and peaceful coexistence was inaugurated this Wednesday Evening on May14 in Colombo.
This symposium was sponsored by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in cooperation with the Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs of the Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs under the supervision of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Colombo.
Essa Almalki, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia and director of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs M S M Nawaz represented their respective organizations at the event.
Director Nawaz presented a memento to Ash-Sheikh Mohamed bin Sulaiman Al-Bariyya who had come from Saudi Arabia to deliver the keynote address at the event .
