COLOMBO : Cabinet Spokesperson Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa revealed that, according to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), there is currently no satellite in orbit registered under the names “SupremeSAT-1” or “ChinaSAT-12” as belonging to Sri Lanka.
The Minister made this disclosure while addressing renewed controversy surrounding the SupremeSAT satellite project.
He clarified that despite claims made in the past, Sri Lanka does not hold ownership of any satellite currently in orbit under those names.news first
