COLOMBO :The Chilaw High Court Friday ,May (15) sentenced Jagath Samantha, a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) member of the Arachchikattuwa Pradeshiya Sabha and brother of former State Minister Sanath Nishantha, to five and a half years of imprisonment.
The judgment was delivered by Chilaw High Court Judge Nayomi Wickramasekara.
Samantha was found guilty on three charges realating to an incident that occurred on November 24, 2008, at the Karukkuliya Jayathilinaramaya Temple. (-News 1st);
