Saeeda Foundation builds Rs 100 million worth 3 storied building at Wolfendhal Balika Maha Vidyalaya

COLOMBO — The opening ceremony of the three storied building of the Wolfendhal Balika Maha Vidyalaya in Colombo was held on Tuesday June 30. It was held under the patronage of the Principal of the College Sujeewani Ellepola. The Programme began with blessings of all the religious leaders.

The building worth about 100 million has been constructed with the funds allocated by the Saeeda Foundation, Dubai UAE on the initiative of former Western Provincial Councilor Nauzer Fowzie.

The chief guest of the ceremony was Deputy Speaker of Parliament Rizvie Salih who cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony along with Principal of the College Sujeewani Ellepola, Deputy Minister of Religious and Cultural Affairs Muneer Mulafer, Former Minister A.H. M. Fowzie, Nawzer Fowzie and Members of Parliament.

The ceremony was graced by Ranjith Premathilake, Deputy Director of Education (Development), Colombo Zonal Education Office; Deputy Director of Education, Colombo Central; Mrs. Disna Dissanayake; invited school principals; members of the School Development Committee; members of the Old Girls’ Association; parents; teachers; students; and well-wishers.

Also distributed certificates and medals to the students who obtain 9 As GCE Ordinary Level Exam and students presented various cultural events.

Principal of the College Sujeewani Ellepola presented a token of appreciation to Nawzer Fowzie at this ceremony.
