RPSL holds its first AGM in Colombo

COLOMBO: The first annual general meeting of the RPSL Consortium was a resounding success, attracting renowned speakers and experts from various industries.
Session 01 was presided over by Shabry Haleemdeen, the President of RPSL Consortium. The Secretary-General of RPSL, Dr. Shamila Dawood, presented the annual report, and the audit report was submitted by Ms. Noorul Munawwara, a member of RPSL’s Board of Management.

Saif Haniffa is the Patron and Vice President of RPSL Consortium, whose unwavering support and guidance ensured the success of the event.

Finally, the proceedings were concluded with a vote of thanks.
Session 02 was chaired by the Vice President of RPSL, Wazeer Mukhthar, who delivered the welcome address.
The guest speaker, Ash-Sheikh AC Agar Mohammad, an Advisory Panel member of RPSL Consortium and a distinguished religious scholar, spoke eloquently about the importance of professionals contributing to community development by investing their life for the betterment of the society. This was followed by a keynote speech from foreign minister Ali Sabry PC, Minister of Foreign Affairs, who is also a founder member of RPSL Consortium. Sabry stressed the significance of reforms, research, and collaboration in community service.


Next was a panel discussion wonderfully moderated by Mr. Hakeem Aboobacker, a member of the Board of Management of RPSL Consortium. Persistence As An Effective Community In The Critical Juncture Of Plural Sri Lanka – Past Present & The Way Forward was the topic involved.
The panel consisted of Madam Feriel Ashraff, Dr. Faisz Musthapha PC, Justice Dr. Saleem Marsoof, Ali Sabry PC, Rauf Hakeem, Faiszer Musthapha PC, and Omar Kamil.

The panelists provided invaluable insights into various aspects of community development and shared their perspectives on strategies for success.
The launch of the consortium’s website, was graced by legal luminaries and Advisory Panel members of RPSL Consortium, Dr. Faisz Musthapha PC, and Justice Dr. Saleem Marsoof, will further enhance the consortium’s ability to connect and collaborate with industry professionals.

Finally, Mr. Trizvi Marikkar, an Attorney-at-Law and a distinguished member of RPSL’s Board of Management, delivered the vote of thanks.

Th event was compered by Ms. Ajra Azhar, an Attorney-at-Law, and member of RPSL Consortium. Overall, the inaugural annual general meeting of the RPSL Consortium was a resounding success, with distinguished speakers and experts sharing their valuable insights and perspectives. The event provided a high-caliber platform for professionals from various industries to collaborate and work towards the betterment of the society.
