COLOMBO — The Second Annual General Meeting of the Rebuilding Peace Sri Lanka (RPSL) Consortium was held at Berjaya Hotel, Mount Lavinia on Sunday May 19.
The Meeting was presided by President of the RPSL Sabri Haleemdeen (Attorney at Law).
General Secretary Dr. Shamila Dawood, Treasurer M.M.N.Munawwara, Vice Presidents Wazeer Mukthar, Patron and Vice President Saif Hanifa also participated in the event
Members from all over the island participated in the event. The new office bearers were elected and it was decided to take steps towards strengthening peaceful coexistence in the future.
General Secretary Dr. Shamila Dawood presented a report on last year’s activities and Treasurer M. M. N. Munawwara also presented previous year accounts of the organization.
Members of the organization Rauff Hakeem MP, Ali Zahir Moulana MP, Ex Minister Ferial Ashroff, former Mayor of Colombo Omar Kamil and Afzal Marikkar including a large number of members were present.
