COLOMBO – A group of religious leaders from all faiths, have severely condemned the brutal murder which killed a Sri Lankan migrant worker in Sialkot on Friday.
A media briefing was held today at the Abhayaramaya Vihara in Narehenpita under the chairmanship of the Viharadipathi of the Abhayarama Vihara,Dr. Babu Sharma Gurus, Dr. Hassan Mowlana and Dr. Kurukulasuriya, Buddhist leaders of other religions also participated in the discussion. The clergy condemned te incident and called on the Pakistani government to conduct a full investigation into the incident and bring the perpetrators to justice.
The interfaith leaders directed that all necessary assistance be provided for the welfare of the deceased’s family.
