COLOMBO; Every year, as the blessed month of Ramadan draws near, Muslims around the world await in joyous anticipation for the opportunity to observe fasting— the fourth of five foundational pillars of the Islamic faith.
The opportune arrival of Ramadan each year sparks an interest and awareness that the holy month would involve practicing Muslims to do more good deeds such as charity, feeling the hunger of the poor, and cultivating patience and peaceful living in their daily life.
It is our earnest wish and hopes that the holy month would not only strengthen the spiritual side of the Muslims but also it should help them coexist with other communities to build a better world.-Editor
