COLOMBO:Following the continuous rains that lashed the western province of Sri Lanka , several areas in the city of Colombo were inundated with floods on Friday morning, June 4.
The affected areas include, Rajagiriya, Kolannawa, Wellampitiya, and Buthgamuwa.
There was a big traffic congestion in the city because of the unprecedented shower The waste water canal which runs through Obeysekerapura was overflowing its banks and the garbage cleaners from the Colombo Municipal Council were seen busy clearing debris from the streets.
