COLOMBO :The Sri Lanka Railways Station Masters’ Union will launch a strike from midnight Tuesday, July  (09).

As a result, several trains including the night mail trains to and from Colombo Fort and Badulla, to and from Trincomalee, to and from Batticaloa and night mail train to Rambukkana will be cancelled, the Department of Railways said.

In response to the strike action, the Ministry of Transport has facilitated an alternative for passengers with railway season tickets. They can utilize their season tickets to travel in the buses provided by the Sri Lanka Transport Board on July 10th.
