COLOMBO : The Sri Lanka Indonesian Friendship Association (SLIFA) organized a Quiz night for its members and guests on Sunday 3rd March at the Riptaloka Hall at the Indonesian Embassy.
The Quiz Master was Jehaan Ismail a Life Member of SLIFA who was ably assisted by his team.
There were 10 teams who participated. The Quiz consisted of 6 rounds with each round having 10 questions. The topics were General Knowledge, Nature, Sports, Geography, Food and Drinks, Music and Movies,
The Ambassador of Indonesia Dewi Gustina Tobing was the Chief Guest.
The evening commenced with a musical performance by Pak Miyoshi Masato a multi talented musician from Indonesia.
It was a keen contest and the winners were a team who called themselves “Charlies Angels”. The 1st runner up was the Team “Lion” and the 2nd runner up was the Team “Mabole Fighters”.
On behalf of the SLIFA ,the ambassador presented a cheque to Ms. Deshamaniya Fawaaz Thaha, President, YWMA for the construction of Roof Wells for drinking water to M.S. Kariapper Vidyalaya and Al-Jalal Vidyalaya in Kalmunai District in the Eastern Province
It was an evening of fun, entertainment and fellowship.
