COLOMBO : Ibrahim Ansar, Director, Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs, chaired the launch of the Government Mission with the Pledge of Allegiance on the first day of 2022 on Monday, January 3.
The Director hoisted the National Flag, with the singing of the National Anthem and observed a two-minute silence in tribute to those who laid down their lives for the country.
The Prime Minister’s Coordinating Secretary for Muslim Religious Affairs Farzan Mansour and religious leaderds from all faiths were present to invoke the blessings of God.
Prof. Dr. S L F Akbar made a presentation on Corona Disease Care and the Director delivered a keynote address on New Year’s Eve.
