COLOMBO:Protestors of the Socialist Youth Union, an association affiliated with the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna, (JVP) have forcibly entered the Presidential Secretariat on Friday morning on March 18.
According to reports, a tense situation has ensued at the Presidential Secretariat premises.
Earlier today, the road from Technical Junction in Maradana to Colombo Fort was blocked by a protest march organized against the conduct of the government.
Meanwhile, the President’s Media Division (PMD) issued a clarification saying the protestors did not enter the Presidential Secretariat premises. The tense situation lasted outside in front of the Presidential Secretariat’s entrance, it noted.
