COLOMBO: It has been 37 days since the island-wide demonstration in front of the Presidential Palace near the Galle Face Green demanding the resignation of the President and the government.
More and more people are gathering now because it is Vesak day.
At noon today demonstrators were seen making Vesak lanterns and hanging them in the protest area.
To mark the holy day, an almsgiving desk was also opened serving refreshments to the visitors.
