The All Ceylon YMMA Conference has organized annual Meelad un Nabi Celebration to mark the Holy Prophet Muhammad birthday today (28th) at 6.30 p.m. at the YMMA Headquarters Dr. A.M.A. Azeez Auditorium. It will be held under the patronage of National President of YMMA Conference Ihsaan A. Hameed.
Moulavi Ihshan Ahamed (Humaidi ) will be the guest speaker said Religious Committee Chairman Thaufiq Zubyr.

Under its Community Social Responsibility program, Colombo Times, a popular web portal will be distributing lunch packets and school stationery to inmates of an orphanage in Colombo to mark the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday on September 28.
Chief Editor and founder of Colombo Times Mohammed Rasooldeen told Daily News that this is part of its CSR program which is geared to help the deserving people in the island.
He said that this forthcoming programme is fully funded by a Muslim philanthropist who wish to remain anonymous for personal reason.
Rasooldeen said that the Colombo Times which has started its Tamil edition last week, would welcome philanthropists and organizations who wish to take part in such CSR programmes that could help the poor irrespective of caste creed or religion

The “ 121st Annual Shamaailil Muhammadiya “ Prophet Muhammad’s birthday thamam programme organized by Board of Trustees of Ummu Zavaya Mosque Colombo to mark the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday on 28th Thursday September 2023 at the Ummu Zavaya Mosque, M. J. M. Lafir Mawatha, Colombo 12.
It will be held under the patronage of Ajward Al Fassy Arabic College Principal Kaleefathush Shazulee Moulavi Ahamed Soofi ( Mahlari ).
The Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC) Muslim Service will broadcast the programme live at 8.30 am to 10. 30 am.
