DOHA : Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya visited Al Wajba Palace on 15 July during her official visit to the State of Qatar to convey the condolences of the Government and the people of Sri Lanka on the passing of His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani.
The Prime Minister expressed her deepest sympathies to Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, mother of the Emir of the State of Qatar and Chairperson of the Qatar Foundation. The Prime Minister also conveyed her condolences to Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani and Her Excellency Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, daughters of the late Father Amir, as well as to the members of the Qatari Royal Family.
The Prime Minister further extended her condolences to Her Excellency Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, Minister of Social Development and Family of the State of Qatar.
