COLOMBO : Actions have been taken to revise the prices of a kilo of Dhal and White Sugar at the Pettah wholesale market.
A Kilogramme of dhal has been reduced by Rs.25 per kilo while sugar by Rs 15 per kilo. Importers of essential food items said that the price of a kilo of Dhal which was Rs. 400 last week has been reduced to Rs 375 and the price of a kilo of while sugar which was Rs 250 last week has been reduced to Rs 235.
Meanwhile, the wholesale price of a kilo of wheat flour is sold at between Rs.265 – Rs. 280.
