COLOMBO : Sri Lankan journalists who have excelled in their respective fiel of their work was honoured at the presidential awards ceremony held under the patronage of the prime minister Dr Harini Amarasuriya: at the Lotus Auditorium in Colombo on Tuesday, Nov. 11.
Mass Media minister Dr Nalinda Jayatissa delivered the welcome address which was proposed by the secretary Anil Jasinghe.
Five journalists including a woman received lifetime awards from the prime minister . Deputy minister of Mass media Dr Kaushalya Ariyarathne was also present at the event.
