Jaffna, Sri Lanka: The audio launch of Poraattam, a Sri Lankan Tamil film centred on sports, was held in grand style at the Thiruvalluvar Cultural Hall in Jaffna.
The film is produced by businessman and film producer Karan Kandiah, directed by Raj Sivaraj, and features music composed by Poovan Mathesan.
Reegan Kandiah plays the lead role, while actress Nivedhitha, who gained recognition through Zee Tamil’s Mahanadigai programme, appears in a key role.
The film features the song “Muttak Kannai Kaatti Ennai Paththu Vachaa,” with lyrics by renowned Sri Lankan poet Pottuvil Asmin. The song has received a positive response from audiences since its release.
The audio launch was attended by members of the film crew, artistes, industry personalities and cinema enthusiasts. Poet Pottuvil Asmin was also present at the event.
Poraattam is scheduled to be released worldwide in theatres on October 2, 2026.
