COLOMBO : A special pre-departure gathering for Hajj pilgrims was held on Saturday morning at Cinnamon Lakeside, Colombo, offering both spiritual guidance and practical preparation for those embarking on the sacred journey in the coming days.
Organized by Traveller Global (Private) Limited and Traveller Global Destinations, the event ran from 10:45 AM to 1:30 PM and concluded with a fellowship lunch. It provided a valuable opportunity for pilgrims to connect with one another and gain essential insights ahead of their departure.
The agenda featured spiritually uplifting addresses by two renowned scholars—Sheikh Arkam Nooramith and Sheikh Jabir—who offered deep reflections on the significance of Hajj and the mental and spiritual readiness it calls for.
Mr. Rizmi Riyal, Chairman of Traveller Global and the appointed group leader for this year’s pilgrimage, delivered a comprehensive briefing covering logistical arrangements, travel protocols, and key aspects of the overall journey. His guidance was instrumental in helping the pilgrims understand what to expect and how to prepare effectively.
Adding further value to the session, a Sri Lankan doctor joined virtually from Singapore to share practical health tips based on his personal Hajj experience. His advice focused on physical endurance, hydration, and managing energy levels during the physically demanding days of the pilgrimage.
The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session and Dhuhr prayers, followed by lunch, which allowed pilgrims to bond with fellow travelers in a spirit of unity and shared purpose.
With just days remaining before departure, the session served as a timely and thoughtful initiative—equipping the group with knowledge, reassurance, and a strong spiritual foundation for their upcoming journey of a lifetime.
