COLOMBO: Prominent philanthropist Shiraj Yoonus distributed Hygiene Packs to residents in lockdown areas such as Nawagampura, Urugodawatta, Vijaya Road and Wanathamulla within CMC limits.
Muslim Affairs Coordinator to Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa,Yoonus told Colombo Times that the packs contain toiletries for men and women. He said that the project is also financially backed by his friends and well-wishers in the community.
Yoonus’ daughter Ruqaiyah also joined her father in distributing the packs to the needy people.
