COLOMBO: Religious leaders in Sri Lanka strongly condemned the insulting statement made by Pastor Jerome Fernando against other Religions.
A press conference was held with the participation of all religious leaders under the chairmanship of Ven. Dr. Elle Gunawansa Nayaka Thero, Chief incumbent of Colombo Bauddaloka Mawatha on Tuesday,May 16.Dharmayatanaya.
Ven. Dr. Elle Gunawansa Nayaka Thero, Rev.Dr. Siva Shri Babu Sharma Kurukkal, Al-Haj Ash-Seyed Dr. Hassan Mawlana Al-Qadiri, Rev Father Dr. Nishan Cooray attended this press conference. Including Buddhist, Hindu, Islam, Christian and All the religious leaders who participated representing the religions.
The resolution was moved unanimously condemning the racist reactions of the pastor .
