COLOMBO : The decision of the Supreme Court on the Port City Bill is scheduled to be presented to Parliament by Speaker of Parliament Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena on May 18.
Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena received the Supreme Court’s determination on the Colombo Port City Economic Commission Bill Thursday,May 6.
Accordingly, the decision regarding the debate on the Colombo Port City Economic Commission Draft Bill will be taken at the next Committee on Parliamentary Business meeting.
The Committee on Parliamentary Business decided not to hold the debate on the Colombo Port City Economic Commission Bill as scheduled on the 5th as the Parliament had not yet received the determination of the Supreme Court.
