COLOMBO : Major General Retired Umar Farooq Burki HI (M) held a cordial meeting with the most Venerable Dr. Kirinde Assaji Thero of Gangaramaya Temple.
During the meeting, Buddhist Heritage in Pakistan and possibilities to encourage pilgrimage to those areas were discussed. Moreover, ways of facilitating Buddhist religious tourists to Pakistan were also discussed.
At the end of the meeting, the High Commissioner donated ration bags for the deserving people through the Venerable monk.
The Venerable Monk highly appreciated the generous efforts of the High Commission of Pakistan in helping the deserving people through distribution of ration.
