COLOMBO : Former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and two military officers have been barred from travelling overseas in connection with ongoing investigations into the 2019 Easter Sunday attacks.
The order was issued by Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasena when the case concerning the Easter Sunday terror attacks was taken up Wednesday,June (03).
The case also has named former Director of the State Intelligence Service, retired Major General Suresh Sallay, as a suspect in relation to the investigations.
Accordingly, court has imposed a foreign travel ban on former President Rajapaksa and the two military officers pending further proceedings in the case.
