ISMATHUL RAHMAN
COLOMBO ; Retired production Manager of Lake House Osman Jayah passed away Tuesday evening on Feb.13 at his residence 300A Bopatha Rd Gothatuwa.
Janaza will take place in Wednesday at 9.30 am at Jawatta jumma Mosque burial grounds.
Jayah joined Lake House as Production Executive on 1 December 1980. He’s a fellow of Sri Lanka Institute of Printing where he lectured until now. He was an expert in Computer Graphic Arts and production workflows for Pre Press. He was instrumental in launching Phototypesetting systems way back in mid eighties and introduced workflow systems to Advertising divisions in 2008. Later he added editorial and library systems. He was also serving in the operations team to introduce Internet edition of Daily News in Sept 1994.
He retired as Deputy General Manager Systems and later worked as head of Operations at Softwave Graphics.
He had a MBA and higher diploma in Printing technology and management.
