The Embassy of Palestine in cooperation with Ceylon Theatre and the SriLanka–Palestine Solidarity Committee, successfully organized a special screening of theinternationally acclaimed and Oscar nominated film “The Voice of Hind Rajab”, at The Majestic Theater in Colombo on Thursday, June 19.
Members of the diplomatic corps, local film stars, social activists and community members from all faiths formed the audience .
The film has received numerous international awards and widespread recognition for its powerful humanitarian message.
“The voice of Hind Rajab” has played an important role and stands as a live testament to the heinous and war crimes committed by the Israeli Occupation against the Palestinian civilians. Through acompelling and deeply moving narrative, the film exposes the tragic human consequences of the ongoing conflict and sheds light on the suffering of innocent children and families, cross the occupied Palestinian lands.
The film’s international success demonstrates the power of art and cinema in conveying the truth beyond political narratives. By presenting authentic human stories, Hind Rajab has contributed to raising global awareness about the reality on the ground and has helped audiences better understandthe painful and often overlooked experiences of the Palestinian people.
The Embassy of the State of Palestine extends its sincere appreciation to Ceylon Theatre and the Sri Lanka–Palestine Solidarity Committee for their dedication and cooperation in making this important cultural event a success.
Such initiatives strengthen solidarity, promote dialogue, and reaffirm theuniversal values of justice, human dignity, and human rights, an official from the Palestine Solidarity Movement said here .
