NZ Terror Attack : Lankan religious leaders call for peaceful coexistence with respect for human values

RUZAIK FAROOK

COLOMBO — Religious Leaders Ven. Dr. Angrahare Kassapa  Nayaka Thera, Dr. Babusharma Ramachandran Kurukkal, Al-Haj As-Seyyed Dr.  Hassan Moulana Al-Quadiri, Rev. Dr. Sixtens Kurukulasuriya had strongly condemned this heinous act of terrorism.

We are hereby extremely disappointed to hear the pathetic news about the terror attack which took place at Auckland, New Zealand bringing us fear and tears in eyes when wondering what has gone wrong with our human nation when it comes to the National Unity and Coexistence.

Our humble request to the entire nation is to act with kindness and respect every human life as it is one of the God given ultimate treasures, anyone can never think of having it again when it is too late.

We as Sri Lankans and as the religious leaders who value national unity and religious coexistence, we strongly condemn this heinous act of terrorizing the families of the victims. Meanwhile we also pray peace to the families of victims and to the entire world on behalf of our motherland and all mankind.
