COLOMBO: Hafiz Naseer Ahamed assumed duties as minister of environment at the Battaramulla Environment Ministry on Tuesday ,May 24.
Secretary to the ministry Anil Jayasinghe, Members of Parliament M.Mushraff , Kader Masthan and Ali Sabry Raheem were present to greet the new minister.
Ahamed said he has been the chief Minister of Eastern Province, He is the only elected M.P in the Batticalo District SLMC, He has ready to support Sri Lanka economic crisis, He was a student of Riyadh petroleum and Minerals University and his university batchmate is presently functioning as Minister of Petroleum in Saudi Arabia .
