COLOMBO: Sri Lanka Navy said it deployed nine of its divers to investigate a suspected water leak in the stern area of the blazing MV X-PRESS PEARL container ship.
Navy Spokesperson Captain Indika De Silva said the fire onboard of the blazing vessel was somewhat completely contained, however, it is believed the engine rooms in the stern are flooded and thus the vessel has started tilingt to the rear.
The salvors are expected to take the necessary measures to addressed the issue.
