KANDY :The Kandy City Masjids Federation, the Kandy City Jammiyathul Ulama, and the Kandy Muslim Traders Association jointly express their heartfelt condolences on the passing away of the Anunayaka Thera of the Asgiriya Chapter, Most Venerable Anamaduwe Dhammadassi Thera.
In this regard, a delegation representing the Muslim community of Kandy visited the Asgiriya Maha Viharaya on Wednesday, 23rd July 2025 at 7:00 pm. The delegation conveyed their deep sorrow and condolences to the Mahanayaka Thera and the senior members of the Asgiriya Chapter.
During the visit, the message of condolence from the All Ceylon Jammiyathul Ulama was also formally handed over, reflecting the shared grief and respect felt by the wider Muslim community across the country.
The visit was attended by members of the Masjids Federation, Jammiyathul Ulama, Traders Association, and other prominent individuals from the Kandy Muslim community.
The Muslim community of Kandy mourns the loss of a revered religious leader and prays for peace and strength to all those affected by this bereavement.
