COLOMBO – Ministry of Buddha Sasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs has organized special Inter Religious Prayers to protect the people of Sri Lanka and all over world from the COVID 19 pandemic.
Media briefing was held at the Gangaramaya Temple, Colombo on Thursday under the patronage of Ven. Dr. Kirinde Assaji thera along with Prime Ministers Hindu Religious and Cultural Affairs Coordinator Babu Sharma Ramachandran Kurukkal, Prime Minister’s Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs Coordinator Ash Seyed Hassan Moulana and Rev. Fr. Kurukulasuriya.
The religious leaders requested all the temples. Kovils, Mosques and Churches conduct the prayers on 8th May 2021 at 5.46 p.m. Also they appealed to the public to conduct the prayers at their homes at the same time by lighting a lamp.
