COLOMBO : Former SJB legislator Mujibur Rahman will replace Diana Gamage, who lost her seat in the parliament sequel to a Supreme Court order issued on Wednesday , May 8
Rahman resigned from his parliamentary seat to contest the mayoral elections in Colombo and he was succeeded by A H M Fowzie who was next on the list of the defeated candidates .
An happy Rahman told Colombo Times that he was really thrilled to enter the parliament and regain his legislative powers .
He said he will continue to serve the people with a better footing and he further hoped the people, as usual, will give their best cooperation to him .
