
COLOMBO : In a thrilling culmination of knowledge and cultural exchange, Ms. Navodya Thathsarani Kumarasinghe, a student from the Open University of Sri Lanka, emerged as the winner of the third round in the online quiz competition organized by the Embassy of Viet Nam in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism as well as the Colombo Times. This competition is a part of the celebrations marking the 55th Anniversary of Viet Nam-Sri Lanka Diplomatic Relations, a milestone that highlights the enduring friendship between the two nations.
The prize-giving was held at the Truc Lam Monastery in Kandy on March 21st, with the gracious presence of H.E. Nguyen Duc Hai, Vice President of the Viet Nam National Assembly, who was in the middle of an official visit to Sri Lanka. Ms. Kumarasinghe was honored for her outstanding performance and deep understanding of Vietnam’s culture and history.
The competition, which has been running strong, aims to foster mutual understanding between Vietnam and Sri Lanka. Participants have the opportunity to showcase their knowledge on the shared history between the two countries.
