GALLE : Minister of Tourism, Lands, Sports and Youth Affairs Harin Fernando announced here that an election will be held on October 5, this year.
“An election will be held on the fifth of October,” the Minister said. Minister Fernando said, stressing that President Ranil Wickremsinghe will emerge victorious in the forthcoming election.
The Minister was speaking to journalists in Galle Friday afternoon on June 14. The minister did not refer to which election whether it’s general or presidential polls. Fernando is cabinet minister
