COLOMBO : Moors’ Islamic Cultural Home (Inc)( MICH) has joined hands with all Civil Societies in Sri Lanka and the International Community calling for an immediate halt on the Genocide being carried out and the massacre of innocent Palestinians including Children. The entire world is watching with horror, this shameful brutality, carried out by the Israeli Forces in the densely populated areas of Gaza.
MICH President Omar Kamil pointed pointed out that the Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, as in the past when an Election is in the offing, to ensure his political fortune has once again waged a barbaric attack on innocent men, women and children of Palestine. He forced the Palestinians to resist and retaliate and made this as an excuse and justification to his Western allies to attack the Palestinians to ethnically cleanse and eliminate the Palestinians from Gaza Strip and its surroundings, which is his ultimate ambition, in the pretext of fighting terror and terrorist Organisations.
The preservation of the rights of the people of Palestine, for a legitimate State needs to be recognized and upheld. The Israeli Government ignoring these factors, including the sensitive security concerns, has chosen to attack the hapless and innocent people of Palestine.
Making an appeal, Kamail said : “We call upon all peace loving people around the world to unite in the name of humanity and to denounce the silence of the so-called powerful nations both in the Arab World and internationally and urgently urge the United Nations to pass a Resolution to bring an immediate halt to this genocide.
While we share the sorrow of the Palestinian people, we along with all peace loving people of Sri Lanka and around the world, pray for the safety of the innocent men, women and children who are caught up in Gaza in this brutal attack.”
