On this auspicious occasion of Eid al-Adha and the completion of the holy pilgrimage of Hajj, I extend my warmest greetings and blessings from Ramallah to the Muslim community and all citizens of Sri Lanka, as well as to Muslims across the globe.
Hajj and Eid al-Adha serve as timeless reminders of sacrifice, unwavering faith, and deep empathy for humanity. Observing this sacred season from the holy land brings a profound sense of responsibility. This year, our thoughts and prayers are heavily focused on our brothers and sisters in Palestine, particularly in the Gaza Strip, who continue to endure unimaginable hardship. On this blessed day, we pray to Almighty Allah to alleviate their suffering and grant immediate, enduring peace and justice to Gaza and the entirety of Palestine.
Simultaneously, I offer my fervent prayers for our motherland, Sri Lanka. May this holy day bring renewed harmony, unity, and economic prosperity to our nation while fostering a global landscape defined by compassion and peace.
Eid Mubarak!
