COLOMBO : On behalf of the Government and the people of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, it is with great pleasure that I convey my warmest facilitations and greetings to Your Excellency, the Government and the people of Vietnam on the occasion of the 78th National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The friendly and longstanding relations between Vietnam and Sri Lanka are multifaceted, covering the political, economic and cultural spheres, amongst others. Further, the bilateral relations between our two countries are built on mutual respect, shared values and profound understanding. It is my sincere wish to further strengthen and elevate our bilateral ties and relations in the years to come.
Today, Vietnam is amongst the fastest growing economies in the world and attracts significant foreign investments from around the world, which is a testament to Viet Nam’s outstanding achievements during the last 78 years. Under visionary and able leadership, Vietnam succeeded in attaining noteworthy success in the sphere of socio economic advancement and a crucial partner in key regional and international forums including but not limited to the UN, UNHRC, ASEAN, ARF and REP.
I also take this opportunity to wish Your Excellency good health and happiness, and for the continued advancement and prosperity of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
