GAMPOLA : A team from Mercy Malaysia paid an official visit to the YMMA Gampola Flood Relief Team to discuss the continuation and expansion of medical assistance for flood-affected communities in and around the Gampola area.
The meeting was led by YMMA National General Secretary, Ihthishan M. Hussaindeen, and focused on planning future medical camps to address urgent healthcare needs of the. flood victims.. As a key outcome of the discussion, both parties agreed to conduct a medical camp at Dunhake Ella, Atabage, on 18 December. Plans were also drawn out to expand medical camps to other identified high-need areas in the region.
The discussion was attended by YMMA National General Treasurer TDM Firdaws, Past National President M. H. Saleemdeen, Vice President Nazar M. Nifraz, Gampola YMMA President Ishaq Mihlar, Secretary Shuhail, along with members of the YMMA Gampola team.
Special appreciation was extended to Anwer Sadath, Project Chairman of the Disaster Management Unit of the All Ceylon YMMA Conference, for his coordination and facilitation in engaging the Mercy Malaysia team and strengthening this humanitarian collaboration.
