COLOMBO : The scheduled meeting between Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and a delegation from the National Tamil Alliance,TNA, at 4pm on Wednesday,June 16, has been suddenly postponed for a later date, according to M.A. Sumanthiran, spokesman of the alliance.
A facebook post from Sumanthiran said here on Wednesday morning : “ The Presidential Secratariat informed us a little while ago that tomorrow’s meeting has been postponed and that a new date and time will be notified soon.”
Earlier, the TNA sent its proposals for Constitutional Reforms to the Expert Committee appointed by the President last December and thereafter met the Committee at their invitation in February this year.
The forthcoming meeting with the President was to discuss ways of taking that process forward, according to M. A. Sumanthiran MP
