COLOMBO – A foreign woman has died after a paramotor crashed into the sea off the Bentota coastline.
The paramotor had crashed while the occupants were viewing the coastal surroundings in the Bentota area.
The aircraft came down approximately 700 metres off the Bentota shore.
The pilot managed to escape by jumping from the paramyotor and swimming to safety, while the Lebanese woman travelling with him drowned and went missing.
Navy divers later recovered her body and transported it to Nagoda Hospital. In Kalutara
